The Azerbaijani National History Museum will host an international scientific conference on the current status of museums and their prospects on June 28 - July 2, Head of the National History Museum Fund's archaeological research department Fariz Khalilli said.

The Azerbaijani National History Museum will host an international scientific conference on the current status of museums and their prospects on June 28 - July 2, Head of the National History Museum Fund's archaeological research department Fariz Khalilli said.

The conference will discuss the preservation of cultural heritage in museums, issues of conservation and restoration of exhibits, cultural tourism, and museums' role in the study and promotion of historical and cultural heritage, use of information technology in museums, etc.. Well-known experts from several foreign countries are expected to make speech at the event.
"Speakers from Turkey, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Germany, Bulgaria, Lebanon and Russia will make reports at the conference," Khalilli said.

The Azerbaijani National History Museum of the ANAS has became venue of seminars, symposia and conferences devoted to the activities and prospects for local and foreign museums, he added.
