The OSCE offers Azerbaijan to increase the number of women police officers.

"The OSCE will conduct 'roundtables' on increasing the number of women police officers from October," OSCE Baku Office Head Koray Targay told Trend.

The Office carries out a pilot project to support society in Azerbaijan for over five years. One of the project directions is aimed at improving police performance. It was launched in Mingachevir and then was extended to another 12 regions.

"Experience shows that implementation of such projects has a major impact on improving the crime situation in the country. As a part of this project, there were held discussions on the issue of increasing the number of women police officers," he said.
