Minister: Azerbaijan intends to develop vocational tourism education

Azerbaijan intends to develop vocational education in tourism, Azerbaijani Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfaz Garayev said at a roundtable on "Tourism development in the media". The roundtable was conducted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Press Council.

Azerbaijan intends to develop vocational education in tourism, Azerbaijani Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfaz Garayev said at a roundtable on "Tourism development in the media". The roundtable was conducted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Press Council.

"People working in vocational colleges will be trained," he said. "Azerbaijan tourism services must be raised to the international level."
Speaking about Baku hotels, Minister said that the city hotels can receive 10,000 tourists.

"About 31,548 people may be placed," Garayev said. "This is possible by getting funds from local investors."

Minister also said that Azerbaijan should form ethics of tourism.

2011 was announced as Year of Tourism in Azerbaijan.
