The first auditions of the 119 hopefuls who hope to participate in the national qualifying round, are being held on Nov.3, 5 and 7, Public Television (İTV) told Trend on Tuesday.
Participants are divided into three groups. The first group will perform on Nov.3 when each must perform two songs and demonstrate their vocal and stage ability. Those who pass to the next round will take part in the main national qualifying round and will compete for the first place to represent the country in a live broadcast on public television.
The qualifying round will be held in accordance with the rules and requirements of the Eurovision Song Contest. Viewers along with the opinion of jury members will be considered to ensure transparency and impartiality in the qualifying round.
It should be recalled that the 57th Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Azerbaijan. The semi-finals of the contest will be held on May 22 and 24 and the final on May 26, 2012.
