The decision on the future of Berti Vogts as the coach of national team will be taken at the meeting of the Executive Committee of AFFA, the president of the Association Rovnag Abdullaev told reporters on Thursday.
Last week the head coach of Azerbaijan national football team, German specialist Berti Vogts said in an interview with German Frankfurter Allgemeine newspaper that he would not renew a contract expiring at the end of this year.
"We have not made a decision yet and have not spoken to Berti Vogts," - said Abdullaev.
AFFA president also said that in the last qualifying stage Azerbaijan national team under the guidance of Berti Vogts has demonstrated a normal football.
"To go through the qualifying stage for the European Championship football has to develop. Half of the players of 12 clubs should be high-level players," - he said.
