The 40th Assembly General of the European Olympic Committee was opened in Sochi, Russia on Wednesday.
The event's official guests also include Azad Rahimov, Youth and Sports Minister of Azerbaijan, and Chinghis Huseinzadeh, Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee of Azerbaijan, the Press Service of the Youth and Sports Ministry of Azerbaijan told Trend on Wednesday.
The Assembly's work will end on November 24. Rahimov will end his visit to Sochi on the same day.
Chinghis Huseinzadeh on November 25 will leave for Moscow to attend the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Russian Olympic Committee. He will pass the greetings of President of the National Olympic Committee of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev over to the participants of the event.
Besides, Huseinzadeh will visit Sochi facilities that will host the 2014 Winter Olympic Games.
