National Council of Azerbaijan is concerned about a wedding TV-show translation
Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec 26 /Trend K.Zarbalayeva/
National Council on Television and Radio broadcasting is concerned about Azerbaijan's wedding TV show on some TV channels.
National Council has no authority to prohibit the broadcasting of such programs, and therefore can not make any decisions, chairman of the National Council on Television and Radio Nushiravan Maharramli said to Trend.
Maharramli noted that, he did not support such programs, and if a council had the authority, the broadcasting of these programs would have been banned long time ago.
"I am very dissatisfied with the wedding broadcast television. Such programs do not correspond to the mentality of our people," Maharramli said.
Maharramli noted that the local television stations, borrowing such TV shows from neighboring countries broadcast them in a distorted form.
The Council took serious measures to stop such TV shows in recent years, and succeeded in reducing their number, Maharramli said.
"This trend has not increased, but the problem still exists and it concerns us," Maharramli said.
