Office for Combating Corruption under the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan announced the statistics on request for corruption in 2011.

The Office reviewed 1084 complaints of citizens in 2011. Criminal cases on 234 requests related to criminal activities and on 128 reports were opened, the chief of the Office for Combating Corruption under the Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev said on Friday.

Aliyev noted that 30 reports on the facts of a criminal nature were received from other government agencies. Nine from the Ministry Of Emergency, 9 from the Ministry of Justice, 1 from the Judicial-Legal Council, 1 from the Interior Ministry, 1 from the State Migration Service, 4 from the Ministry of National Security, 5 from the other bodies. Criminal cases on 25 of them were opened, 15 were sent to court, five of them are adjudicated and 10 are pending in court.
Aliyev noted that four criminal cases on five prosecutors were filled in 2011. The investigation on one of them is completed and the case was sent to court, the three investigations are being implemented.

Six prosecutors were disciplined and one was dismissed in the result of investigations conducted by the Office of Internal Security
