The Baku 2020 Bid Committee has delivered its applicant file to the headquarters of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in Lausanne, Switzerland, the executive director of the national organizing committee "Olympic Games-2020 in Baku" Kenul Nurullayeva told media on Thursday.
"Bid book" was presented to the International Olympic Committee in Lausanne on Thursday. IOC will study the information within two months, after that IOC will make a proper statement.
The national organizing committee was established in Azerbaijan in connection with the nomination of Baku to host the Olympics-2020.
Madrid, Tokyo, Istanbul, as well as Qatar's capital Doha have also been nominated for hosting the Summer Olympics-2020.
Their first presentation must be held in February 2012.
