The IDEA campaign (International Dialogue for Environmental Action) in conjunction with Earth Hour Azerbaijan will hold an Earth Hour action.

It is known that the amount of greenhouse gases emitted into the atmosphere due to the development of the economy and scientific technology in a globalising world is increasing, IDEA told Trend.

Lighting of buildings that are symbols of the cities taking part are also turned off in Earth Hour.

As one of the main directions of IDEA campaign, launched by the vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva, is the problem associated with climate change. The campaign has always supported both local and foreign action held in the name of fighting it.
In this regard, the campaign, in cooperation with 'Earth Hour, Azerbaijan' will hold this year's Earth Hour campaign not only in Baku's Maiden Tower, but also in Ganja, Lankaran, Lagidzhe and other places where large amounts of electricity are consumed. More information about the campaign can be found at www.ideacampaign.org and www.earthhour.az
