"The Eurovision-2012 song contest in Baku is a good chance to represent my country," Bulgaria's 2012 Eurovision contestant Sofi Marinova said in an interview with Trend.

"I hope many people will like my song," she said. "I would like to win and bring Eurovision to my country. I expect to have many new friends from your country and worldwide."

I think any participant of the national tour could be in my place," she said. "I am happy and thank the jury and all the viewers who voted for me. I always sing from my heart and try very hard. That's why I will represent Bulgaria at the contest."

"I think everyone must sing well. Anything else is irrelevant," she added. "And when the song is nice and people like it, they will vote for you."

"I have never been to Azerbaijan," she said. "But I think I will like your country. I like to travel and meet different people. I hope you will like my song and me as a singer. I would love to gain many new fans from Baku."

"I don't know anything about your country, but I hope I will have the time to visit the most interesting sights in Baku and to learn many things," she added.

"I'm superstitious and do not like to talk in advance," she stressed. "I think that it will be good to surprise the audience. But I promise you one thing - I will sing from all my heart and soul. This is the most important thing for me. We faced some difficulties while organising a performance in other countries. This is difficult work requiring much money. The responsibility is great, but I promise to try very much for Bulgaria to be proud of me."

The 57th Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Baku Crystal Hall which is under construction near the State Flag Square.

The Baku Crystal Hall has an arena with a capacity of up to 23,000 spectators. Approximately 16,000 people will be able to attend each of the three Eurovision Song Contest live shows in May.

The Eurovision 2012 semi-final rounds will be held in Baku on May 22 and May 24 and the final on May 26.
The logo of the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest is 'Fire Flower', while the motto is 'Light your fire'.

Azerbaijan won the right to host the prestigious European song contest after the victory of Eldar Gasimov and Nigar Jamal (Ell / Nikki) at Eurovision 2011 in Dusseldorf, Germany last May.
