Presentation of the Public Defender's office was held today in Marneuli.
The presentation was attended by Ombudsman Giorgi Tugushi, who noted that henceforth he will have more opportunities through his representatives to better protect human rights in the Kvemo Kartli region, as well as conduct more active educational work and help the local population raise awareness of human rights and freedoms.
The Public Defender expressed the hope that this office in the near future will become one of the pillars and a guarantee for the citizens in the effective protection of their rights and he will contribute to the integration of minorities into Georgian society.
Office of the Public Defender of Georgia in Marneuli has been renovated and equipped with the financial support of the European Union.
