The Heydar Aliyev Foundation, which is an official partner of the Eurovision-2012 Organizing Committee, has implemented another humanitarian campaign along with active participation in all processes within the project.

The Foundation held the essay contest "I perceive Azerbaijan" in the Eurovision-2012 participating countries. Only children and adolescents with physical disabilities may attend the contest. Holding this contest, which gives an opportunity to learn Azerbaijan, to familiarize with the history and rich culture, came from the humanistic principles. The Heydar Aliyev Foundation attaches great importance to these principles.

According to the terms of the contest, pupils aged 9 - 18 could attend it. The papers were received till April 30. After reading the e-work of the participants, the organizing committee chose and determined the winners.

There were two winners from each participating country. Together with the people accompanying them, they will be invited to Azerbaijan. During their stay in Azerbaijan, they will be provided with good living conditions and transportation. Thanks to a special program prepared for walking and recreation, the guests will get acquainted with Baku and will be able to see the finale of the grand show - Eurovision-2012.

The preparation is underway to receive the winners.

The 57th Eurovision Song Contest will be held in the Baku Crystal Hall near the State Flag Square. The semi-finals will be held in Baku on May 22 and May 24 and the final on May 26.

The logo for the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest is 'Fire Flower', while the motto is Light your fire.

Azerbaijan won the right to host the prestigious European song contest after the victory of Eldar Gasimov and Nigar Jamal (Ell / Nikki) at Eurovision 2011 in Dusseldorf, Germany last May.
