Baku Traffic Police Department and the Journalism and Development Center l distribute leaflets and brochures to drivers in connection with the Eurovision-2012 song contest, head of the Baku Police Department Traffic Vagif Asadov told Trend on Friday.

He said that they are interested in a project of the Journalism and Development Center.

They decided to support it.

"We want to conduct a number of activities to enlighten drivers, passengers and pedestrians to improve the level of traffic culture within the project," he said. "We have already held several events. We have achieved goods results and will continue this work. We try for the guests arriving in Baku to be satisfied."

He said that foreigners, getting into a taxi, will be able to explain the driver where to go with the help of these booklets and brochures. "Journalism and Development Center" public association and Baku traffic police continue implementing the new project "Public support for Eurovision-2012 international song contest - promotion of our
history and culture". The project aims at enlightening employees of traffic police and taxi drivers.

"Journalism and Development Center" public association and Baku traffic police has carried out several joint projects.

The booklets and pamphlets, published with the financial support of the Council of State Support to NGOs under the Azerbaijani President, have been distributed today.

The booklets include brief information about Azerbaijan, including the occupied territories, population, ethnic composition. There is the information in Azerbaijani and English about the leisure centers, hotels, religious objects, and various services. The guests will be
able to move freely around the city with the help of these booklets.

The conversation books in Azerbaijani and English have been also published. They will be distributed free of charge to taxi drivers and traffic police officers.
