Azerbaijani non-governmental organisations (NGOs) have condemned a 'black PR' campaign. It is being conducted by such international organisations as Amnesty İnternational, the Norwegian Organisation for Human Rights and the 'Reporters without Borders' on the basis of the false information against Azerbaijan. NGOs urge these organisations not to break away from reality and to refer to credible information sources, the Council of State Support to NGOs under the Azerbaijani President said today.
'As the representatives of the Azerbaijani civil society, we condemn certain statements made by these organisations and declare that they have raised issues which are biased and serve the interests of forces, envious of Azerbaijan's success, rather than to reflect reality', the message said. 'We believe that our country does not trust each of three these organisations as from time to time they repeat biased and prejudiced statements about Azerbaijan."
