Azerbaijani boxer Magomedrasul Majidov (91 kg) took place in the semi-finals of the Olympic Games in London.
His opponent was a boxer from Russia Magomed Omarov. The first round did not reveal the strongest - 4:4. In the second round Russian athlete was stronger - 6:7. In the third round Majidov surpassed rival with a score of 7:3 - and reached the semifinal.
Thus, Magomedrasul Majidov guaranteed at least a bronze medal.
In the eighth finals Majidov acting heavyweight (91 kg), defeated an opponent from the Democratic Republic of Congo Magee Moonba, knocking him down in the first and twice - in the second round. Because of the obvious advantage of the Azerbaijani boxer fight was stopped prematurely.
