Azerbaijani First Lady hosts Iftar dinner for Pakistani children (PHOTO)

On the initiative and with support of the First Lady of Azerbaijan, Mehriban Aliyeva, Pakistan Sweet Home Foundation, functioning under the secretariat of Pakistani Prime Minister, organized an iftar dinner for 1,200 inmates of 11 orphanages of the country.

On the initiative and with support of the First Lady of Azerbaijan, Mehriban Aliyeva, Pakistan Sweet Home Foundation, functioning under the secretariat of Pakistani Prime Minister, organized an iftar dinner for 1,200 inmates of 11 orphanages of the country.

Attending the solemn ceremony were the First Lady of Pakistan, Nusrat Pervaiz Ashraf with her daughter, Adviser to the Prime Minister Shahnaz Wazir Ali, executive director of the Pakistan Sweet Home, a prominent politician Zamurad Khan, members of the National Assembly, employees of diplomatic mission of Azerbaijan, representatives of Pakistan's leading media outlets, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said on Monday.

During the event, participants were briefed about humanitarian projects implemented in Azerbaijan and other countries on the initiative and with the support of President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and İSESCO, MP, First Lady of Azerbaijan, Mehriban Aliyeva. In addition, construction of a school for girls in the quake-hit Muzaffarabad was noted.

Furthermore, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation organized humanitarian actions under the humanitarian assistance program in Pakistan.

The First Lady of Pakistan voiced her gratitude to Mehriban Aliyeva for humanitarian projects implemented in the country, noting that this action would be great spiritual support for the children in the month of Ramadan.

The guests addressing the meeting thanked the First Lady of Azerbaijan, noting the importance of her activities.
