Kazakh consulate opens in Kyrgyz city of Osh

The official opening of the Consulate of Kazakhstan in the Kyrgyz city of Osh was held, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry told Trend.
The event was attended by Ambassador of Kazakhstan Beybit Isabaev, vice mayor of Osh Dastan Khodjaev, first deputy governor of Jalal-Abad province Zhumagul Egemberdieva, head of the Osh regional state administration's office Kamchybek Saliev, representatives of the Russian and Chinese consulates general, members of the Osh City Council.
Isabaev introduced to ceremony participants Consul of Kazakhstan in the city of Osh Mukhan Madelkhanov, in his speech stressed that the main purpose of opening a diplomatic mission is to strengthen and further develop the Kazakh-Kyrgyz strategic partnership and allied relations.
The Kazakh diplomat also noted that this significant event coincides with the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, which, of course, will give a new impetus to enhance mutually beneficial cooperation between the two friendly countries.
In turn, the deputy mayor Khodjayev and first deputy governor of Jalal-Abad province Egemberdieva called opening of the Consulate of Kazakhstan an important factor in deepening cooperation in all areas of mutual interest of the parties. They expressed their deep gratitude to President Nursultan Nazarbayev's initiative to build a school in Osh region and thanked the Government of Kazakhstan for helping the southern region of Kyrgyzstan on liquidation of consequences of the June 2010 events.
