The U.S and French football teams, who will participate at the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup, have arrived in Baku.
The tournament under the auspices of FIFA which will be held in Azerbaijan, will be the third World Cup in football among girls under 17.
The decision to grant Azerbaijan the right to host the championship was made on March 19, 2010.
Sixteen teams will participate at the tournament. Azerbaijan automatically qualifies as the host country. The remaining 15 teams were determined based on the qualifying round matches which began in October 2010.
Five stadiums in Baku and one in Lankaran have been officially announced as places to host the championship. They are the Tofig Bahramov Republican Stadium, Shafa Stadium, Dalga Arena in Mardakan, 8 KM stadium, Bayil stadium and Lankaran Central City Stadium.
The Championship will be held from Sept.22 to Oct.13.
