Heavy snowfall in the Turkish province of Van has blocked the roads to 218 villages, the agency Dogan said today.
A snow level in the province of Van is 35-100 centimetres. Around 100 people and 13 snowploughs are cleaning the roads.
Sharp frost has been observed in Turkey since last week. Forecasters predict heavy snowfalls this week in many provinces.
