In the beginning of 2013 IDEA Campaign starts with good news as IDEA will be cooperating with a global environmental movement 350.org, the company'press release says.
350.org is an international movement (http://www.350.org) functioning in 188 countries. The aim of 350.org is to raise awareness among the world population and call people to take actions to fight against one of the world's main ecological issues - climate change.
Since climate change is one of the activity directions of IDEACampaign, it is supposed to run several projects together with 350.org within the framework of this cooperation. Several international projects on the topic of environmental and ecological issues will be co-organized.
It is noteworthy that 350.org will run a new campaign called GPS - Global Power Shift (www.globalpowershift.org) which is already considered to be the first project where 350.org and IDEA will be cooperating.
Within the framework GPS project it is planned to hold a seven-day international environmental summit in Istanbul in 2013, where 500 most environmentally active youth from all over the world will be parrticipating. This summit will mainly run discussions on the main environmental issues such as "Global Climate Change" and "Increase of carbon emissions in the atmosphere" that are real threats for mankind. IDEA representatives and active environmental citizens will be participating in this summit from Azerbaijani side.
As a second phase of GPS project participants will be promoting the aim and objectives of this project at their back homes by creating a national GPS teams accordingly. This teams will constantly hold conferences, run environmental actions and raise awareness among the population.
It should be noted that IDEA Campaign launched by the Vice-President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Mrs. Leyla Aliyeva, on July 12, 2011 and campaign organizes dozens of national and international projects both independently and cooperating with world-wide environmental organizations.
