The President of the famous Turkish football club Galatasaray, Unal Aysal, has resigned on procedural grounds, Hürriyet newspaper reported on Saturday.
According to the report, Aysal resigned in order to be re-elected in the next season for a three-year term. According to the laws of the club, if Aysal was running for another term, then, being at the head of the club, he could have been elected the president of the club for one year only.
According to the newspaper, following resignation, Aysal may be elected the president of Galatasaray for a new three-year term on June 22 of this year.
