Ramadan is being celebrated in Turkey, Anadolu agency reported today.

According to the agency, millions of Muslims in the country perform Eid prayer.

The holy month of Ramadan was determined for Muslims in the second year of the Hijrah (622 year). Ramadan teaches people to love commandments of Allah, gives them the opportunity to show their will power, tolerance, be vigilant, conscientious. Muslims fast during this month.

The fast ends with Eid al-Fitr. This day, all rich and wealthy Muslims must help the poor. While distributing the fitrah - charity given to the poor, all family members are taken into account.
