Forty-eight foreigners with fake visas and two smugglers were detained in Shiraz airport, the Iranian ISNA news agency reported on Feb.18.
All the detainees came from Bangladesh, arriving via Dubai to Shiraz. They wanted to go to the Iranian province of Khuzestan, and from there cross to Europe. Two Iranians accompanying them, were engaged in trafficking, and wanted to smuggle them to Europe.
A criminal case was filed against the smugglers, and 48 Bangladeshi citizens were deported to Dubai.
