In 2013, Azerbaijani Culture and Tourism Ministry issued 57 licenses for hotels' activity, according to Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers report on the results of 2013, submitted to the Milli Majlis (parliament) of Azerbaijan.
Last year 57 licenses were issued for the hotel activity and 74 licenses for tourist activities.
Currently 245 travel agencies, 258 hotels and hotel-type facilities are operating in the country, according to the report.
Use of e-visa system was also launched on March 15, 2013.
