An explosion has occurred in a five-storey building in the city of Khirdalan of Azerbaijan's Absheron region, the website of the country's Ministry of Emergency Situations said on Sept.8 citing the information received by the 112 hotline.
The building reportedly was under construction during the explosion.
Following the blast, a rescue team has arrived at the scene. Three people have been rescued, and the operations to rescue two more are underway.The cause of the explosion is unknown yet.
Emergency medical care told Trend two people were treated by the doctors at the scene, and they were delivered to a hospital afterwards.
Furthermore, the ambulance station employees of the Khirdalan city treated five more people at the scene.
