Azerbaijan detains its nationals, who fought for Taliban and IS (PHOTO-VIDEO) (UPDATE)

As a result of anti-terrorist activities of Azerbaijan's National Security Ministry, a group of Azerbaijani citizens, who fought for the terrorist groups Taliban and Islamic State, was detained, said the ministry Apr. 9.
The Main Investigation Department of the National Security Ministry has initiated a criminal case under articles 12.1, 279.1 and 283-1.3 of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijani citizens - Garagozov Aydin, Ramizzadeh Hafiz, Bekirov Telman, Tairov Mubariz, Gasimov Javid, Velizadeh Fazail and Mammadov Tural were arrested as suspects.
They are suspected of creating illegal armed formations or groups, taking part in their creation and activity of such groups, supplying them with arms, ammunition, explosives, military equipment, as well as attracting Azerbaijani citizens and stateless persons residing in Azerbaijan to the propaganda of religious sects, to armed conflicts outside the country on the grounds of religious hatred and under the guise of performing religious cults, or undergoing combat training, organizing a group for this purpose, as well as taking part in such groups and their training, or taking part in an armed conflict and other illegal activities.
The operational and investigative measures on the criminal cases are underway.
