Another court session on the criminal case against Khadija Ismayilova was held at the Baku Court of Heinous Crimes August 19.
Judge Ramella Allahverdiyeva chaired the session and announced the documents on the criminal case.
During the trial, Ismayilova submitted several petitions.
She submitted a petition for the forensic accounting to be held again and the specialists of the Forensic Center Emin Mammadli and Zaur Mammadov, who carried out the expertise, to give testimony.
State prosecutor Ramazan Hadiyev said that the expertise was carried out comprehensively and scientifically proven.
"No need for an expertise," he said.
Hadiyev asked to reject the petition.
Then Ismailova submitted a petition to summon the specialists of Baku's Tax Department Elchin Aliyev and Imran Nurmammadov, who drew up an intermediate act on a criminal case, to the court as witnesses.
The state prosecutor asked the court to consider this petition.
Judge Allahverdiyeva said that Aliyev and Nurmammadov would be summoned to the trial.
Then, a break was announced.
After the break, Nurmammadov gave testimony.
He confirmed everything written in the act.
The tax violations were made during Ismayilova's activity in Azadlig radio.
Then Nurmammadov answered a few questions of the accused.
The trial will continue at 11:00 Aug. 20.
Ismayilova was arrested under the article 125 (incitement to suicide) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.
Then, new charges were brought against her under the articles 179.3.2 (large-scale misappropriation and embezzlement), 192.2.2 (illegal entrepreneurship), 213.1 (tax evasion) and 308.2 (abuse of official duties) of Azerbaijan's Criminal Code.
