Azerbaijan must set an example for holding the parliamentary election at the highest level, Ziyafat Asgarov, the first deputy chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliament, said August 21.
Asgarov made this statement at a meeting in the Central Election Commission (CEC) held for the chairmen of district election commissions.
He stressed the importance of thorough study and understanding of norms and principles of the suffrage by all members of election commissions, including the chairmen of district electoral commissions.
"It is necessary to study the suffrage each day," he said. "The requirements of the Electoral Code must be studied well not to allow any ado in the election."
