Baku, Azerbaijan, Dec. 2
By Ilhame Isabalayeva - Trend:
Azerbaijan's parliament is discussing the introduction of a ban on holding of the Islamic rites and ceremonies by the people who received religious education abroad.
The ban can be introduced through amendments to "The Law on Freedom of Religion."
Voicing religious slogans and demonstration of religious attributes outside the temples and in public places can also be banned.
An exception in this case will be the wearing of religious attributes.
Religious flags, under the amendments, can only be flown in places of pilgrimage and at religious centers.
