The Nasimi District Court of Baku reviewed Feb. 5 a complaint by Taleh Baghirov, who was arrested during a special operation carried out by law enforcement authorities in Baku's Nardaran township, Nov. 26, 2015.
On Nov. 26, 2015, five members of a criminal group, operating under the guise of religion, were killed during a police operation in the township of Nardaran, some 25 km northeast of Baku.
Two police officers were also killed in the standoff.
Fourteen members of the criminal group were arrested along with the group's ringleader Taleh Baghirov.
Baghirov's complaint was reviewed at the court session chaired by Judge Babek Panahov.
Taleh Baghirov himself participated in the court session.
Lawyer Javad Javadov later told Trend that Baghirov was transferred to the Baku detention facility and the next court session will be held Feb. 9.
