The FIG World Challenge Cup in Artistic Gymnastics in Baku will become a good experience for Israeli athletes, the Israeli Ambassador to Azerbaijan Dan Stav told Trend Feb. 19.

"Some of them are very young and it is the first competition for them, and, perhaps, some day when they win an Olympic medal, they will remember that they began their careers here, in Baku."

The ambassador went on to add that he attended a gymnastics competition in Azerbaijan for the first time and he is very pleased with the organization and the conditions created.

"Our athletes are also impressed with the conditions created for them at the high level," he said.
