Head of the Consular Department at Azerbaijan's Embassy in Russia, adviser Emil Maharramov was severely beaten by a taxi driver in Moscow on Apr. 16.
Maharramov was taken to a hospital, where he received urgent medical aid, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Russia told Trend Apr. 16.
The embassy is working to establish the causes and circumstances of the incident.
The diplomat has already filed a complaint to the law enforcement agencies.
