The representatives of 46 countries who are participating in the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games have already arrived in Azerbaijan and have been accommodated in the Athletes Village, Azad Rahimov, Azerbaijani minister of youth and sports, said at a press conference in Baku May 11.
“The athletes from eight more countries are expected to arrive today,” Rahimov, who is also chief executive director of the Operations Committee of the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games, added.
The Baku 2017 Islamic Solidarity Games, the opening ceremony of which will take place May 12, started May 8 and will last until May 22 in Azerbaijan’s capital.
