An earthquake occurred in Azerbaijan’s Sharur district, the Republican Seismic Survey Center of the National Academy of Sciences reported Dec. 7.
The tremors measuring 3.1 were recorded at 17:22 (GMT +4).
The quake’s focus was 10 kilometers below the Earth’s surface.
The tremors were not felt.
Earlier, a 3-magnitude earthquake hit Azerbaijan’s Agsu district. Also an earthquake of 5.7 magnitude occurred in Aghdam district on Nov. 15.
