MultiPiano musical evening, featuring Israeli musicians was held at the Heydar Aliyev Congress Center as part of the 10th Gabala International Music Festival.

MultiPiano is a unique keyboard project, presenting four of Israel’s virtuoso pianists in a celebration of pianos in ever-changing combinations – on one and two pianos, from 4 to 8 hands, with or without orchestra

The head of the ensemble is Tomer Lev, one of the best musicians in Israel, conductor, pianist, rector of the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music at Tel Aviv University.

Speaking to Trend Life, Tomer Lev praised the organization of the Gabala International Music Festival. He noted that Azerbaijan is a very interesting country, because it is at the crossroads of several cultural worlds.

“I've heard already for many years about this festival especially from our colleagues in Israel and Russia. They were speaking about this wonderful festival in the beautiful mountains of Azerbaijan. I've heard so many things about this festival in Gabala and I was very curious to come and see this for myself. It's so magnificent to bring such wonderful art to this beautiful landscape and to put together the best creation of man and the best creation of God,” he said.

Tomer Lev stressed that Heydar Aliyev Foundation implements important international projects aimed at preserving national and spiritual values and wide popularization of Azerbaijani culture and art all over the world.

“It is remarkable that the Heydar Aliyev Foundation does so much for the country and its culture,” he said.

The musician also said that his ensemble consists of the most advanced and promising pianists of Israel.

“The idea of this ensemble was to unite the adult and young musicians. Each side brings its best qualities. Young people bring energy, and adults bring experience,” he said.

The Gabala International Music Festival, which became the main event in the musical life of Azerbaijan and the region, this year marks its 10th anniversary. The festival, organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Gilan Holding, will last until August 7.
