Azerbaijan exempting meat sales from VAT
BAKU, Azerbaijan, Oct. 23
Starting from 2020, the sale of meat in Azerbaijan will be exempt from VAT for four years, Trend reports Oct. 23
This is reflected in the draft law “On Amending Tax Code.”
However, the tax exemption doesn’t apply to meat sent for processing, with the exception of cut and frozen meat.
It is also proposed to extend until 2023 the period of the order that has been applied since 2017 on the exemption from VAT regarding the sale of poultry meat, feed and feed additives used in livestock and poultry farms in Azerbaijan.
