BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 15

Turkish Airlines has resumed flights to Azerbaijan’s Ganja city, Trend reports.

The plane of the airline was received at the Ganja International Airport in the morning on May 15.

The ceremony was attended by the first deputy head of the Executive Power of Ganja Samad Tomuyev, Consul General of Turkey in the city Zeki Ozturk and a representative of the airline in Ganja Cabir Pece.

Ozturk noted that the Turkish-Azerbaijani relations, based on historical friendship, mutual trust, sincere relations and cooperation at a high level, are constantly expanding.

Citizens of Azerbaijan can fly to Turkey without a visa, having diplomatic, service, national passports or biometric identity cards.

The flight on the Istanbul-Ganja-Nakhchivan route will be held twice a week - on Tuesday and Saturday.

The flights will be organized in compliance with the quarantine rules due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
