The Azerbaijan’s Education Ministry (EM) developed and put forward to the Council on cooperation in the educational field of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS)-countries a number of proposals on improvement of the educational system within the CIS countries, head of the central board on foreign ties and coordination of the EM, Mahir Aliyev told Trend.
Proposals concern coordination of works in the field of educational systems informatization of the CIS countries, establishing the organizationalвЂ"economic mechanism for the open
education system functioning of the CIS countries and the concept for development of distance learning within the CIS countries. These issues have been discussed recently at the meeting of the CIS countries expert group. Azerbaijan did not take part in this meeting.
The expert group coordinated drafts of 3 agreements: “On coordination of works in the field of the educational systems informatization of the CIS countries”, “On establishing the organizational-economic mechanism for functioning of the open educational system of the CIS countries”, and the draft “Concept for the distance learning within the CIS countries”. Texts of documents agreed upon at the meeting are supposed to send to the Council of Foreign Ministers and the Council of the CIS heads of states for consideration.
