The experts of the Caspian Problems Center of the Institute of Geography of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Science (ANAS) and the Space Geophysical Oceanography Laboratory of the French Space Explorations Center are conducting a joint expedition in the Jilov island, Said Husseynov, the press secretary of the Land Sciences Sector of the ANAS told Trend.
The expedition is implemented under the project �Research of changes of water level of the Caspian Sea by satellite and contacts’, Husseynov said.
The exploration with the participation of the French, Azerbaijani and Russian experts will be conducted from the vessel and satellite. The expedition will end on July 7. After the works the scientists will analyze the data and publicize the results of the explorations by autumn of 2005.
