5 automatic meteorological stations (AMS) will be installed in the regions of the country under the floods prevention project, the Hydro-meteorological Forecast Department under the Ecology and Natural Resource Ministry told Trend.
New equipment will enable to fix any changes of weather conditions, to take appropriate measures, particularly, inform the population and the concerned bodies about forthcoming disaster.
The project with the budget of approximately $30m will be funded by the Asian Development Bank.
