The opening of Excelcior hotel in Baku, originally scheduled for July 22, has been postponed to 1 August 2005, Ataholding group of companies, which owns the hotel, told Trend.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev expected to honor the opening ceremony.
The Excelcior hotel located Heydar Aliyev avenue of the capital will come as the only in the region for its status. There are special apartments for heads of state visiting Azerbaijan. It will function as a permanent rest center. The company spent $20m in the construction of the 6-star hotel.
