The issues of cooperation have been discussed at the meeting of the Azerbaijan’s ombudsman Elmira Suleymanova with the new head of the Baku representative office of the UNO High Commission on refugees (UNHCR) William Tall.
The issues of expanding cooperation in the field of refugees and internally displaced people (IDP) protection and development of the future action plan were discussed at the meeting, the ombudsman’s press service told Trend. Suleymanova reported on the hard state of the refugees and IDPs in Azerbaijan, on the activities of the ombudsman’s office.
Tall appreciated highly cooperation with the ombudsman’s institute of Azerbaijan and underlined the significance of the interaction for both sides. He from his part informed on the projects by the UNHCR to be implemented in the country.
The sides focused their attention at the implementation of measures on raising the efficiency of the cooperation during the meeting.
