The UNESCO Director General Koishiro Matsuura, accompanied by the delegation is carrying out on 25 August a cultural program within his stay in Azerbaijan, Trend reports.
In the first half of the day the guests attended the Gobustan State Historical Reserve, got familiar with the ancient history of Azerbaijan. The UNESCO Good Will Ambassador, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva accompanied the guests in their trip.
In the evening the guests will attend the concert of cultural workers of Azerbaijan, which is to take place in the ancient fire-worshippers temple “Ateshgyakh”.
The visit of the UNESCO Director General to Azerbaijan will be finished on 26 August. Before his departure he will hold a briefing at the airport on the results of his visit.
