A representative of the Vatican, cardinal Crescenzo Sepe will visit Baku in the first ten days of September, the Roman Catholic parish of the Christ Redeemer said, Trend reports.
The purpose of the visit is participation in the Catholic Church first stone laying ceremony to be built on the personal funds of the late Pope Ioann Paul II, as well as donations from abroad.
During the visit the Vatican representative will meet with the leadership of Azerbaijan, of the Caucasus Moslems Board. The program of the visit envisions also attending the asylem for homeless under construction in Baku.
