Aflatun Amashov, the chairman of the Press Council arrived in the Heydar Aliyev international port on Monday at 13.30 [Baku time] to meet with the journalists who were observing the return of Guliyev and covering the last developments in this connection, Trend reports.
Amashov told the media representatives that two employees of the daily newspapers Hurriyyat and Futbol+ were released on last Sunday (16 October) at his intensive efforts.
“The police detained several journalists were arrested today [Monday] as they did not have press cards on. The chairman of the Press Council said that he was going to hold talks with the Azerbaijani Interior Minister, Ramil Usubov, to ask to control over the obstacles impeding the journalists’ activities and pressures. Amashov is also going to ask the Interior Minister to enter the airport.
Amashov gave some recommendations to journalists, who observe the return of Guliyev and cover the last developments in this connection.
