The blood analyses of the migratory birds showed, there are no factors of the “bird’s flu” spreading in Azerbaijan, the head of he department of the biodiversity protection and development of the specially protected areas under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan, Sadagat Mammadova told Trend.
According to her, at the moment in places where the birds migrate, the control is enhanced. An active monitoring is held in Lenkoran, Astara and Divichi and some other places, samples are taken and studied at the veterinary laboratory of the Ministry of Agriculture. By the moment no facts of the “bird’s flu” have been disclosed” she noted.
The Iranian media spread the news this week on death of 5,000 of migratory birds in the north-west of Iran at the bordering with Azerbaijan area on the Araz river. The Ministry got no information in this regard, Mammadova told Trend.
