“If the Public Resistance Movement (PRM) is politicized, I’ll leave its ranks,” Mirvari Gahramanly, the chairman of the Committee for Defense of Oil Undustry Workers’ Rights entering the movement, told Trend.

The Movement was established by a group of politicians and some woman heads of nongovernmental organizations on 21 December. The goal of PRM is to ensure democracy and human rights in the country.

Gahramanly noted that she did not agree to joining of the women of Azadlig’ (Freedom) bloc the movement. “They will represent the ideas of their parties in the movement, while the people participating in the work of the movement must be related to any party, as PRM is a public organization,” she added.

The law-defender stressed that there should not be any leader in the movement, as he could paralise the activities of the organization.
