Kamaladdin Heydarov regards 2005 as satisfied for Azeri taekwondo
Kamaladdin Heydarov, the President of the National Federation, regards 2005 as satisfied year for the Azerbaijani taekwondo.
Azerbaijani athletes gained 21 medals at the official competitions in 2005, Fuzuli Mussayev, the first vice-President of the National Federation, said to a final meeting, Trend reports. According to Mussayev, despite misfortune at the world championship in Madrid, where the team did not manage gain any medal, it successfully participated in the European championship, as Niyamaddin Pashayev won the gold medal for the second time.
In his turn, Heydarov noted that the National Federation intensively developed and pursued highest purposes such as successful fighting at the forthcoming Olympic Games in Beijing.
