Next legal hearing on 2nd case of Ramil Safarov due on 21 Feb

The legal hearing on the next case of Azerbaijani officer Ramil Safarov was held at the Budapest central region court on 17 January, the Hungarian embassy in Azerbaijan told Trend.

The legal hearing lasted 2 hours. The case was considered under the chairmanship of Judge Tot Gyengver, while the rights of Safarov were defended by Hungarian lawyer Clara Fisher. The Prosecutor presented accusation in Turkish and set the next date of the hearing for 21 February.

It should be mentioned that Safarov faced with the second case in relation to the incident taken place between him and supervisor in June 2004. The incident, occurred due to lack of knowledge of Hungarian language by Safarov, is incriminated as resistance to authorities. He may be sentenced to 2-year term in accordance with the preliminary data.
